  • People and Process Evolution-An Introduction

    This 1 hour introductory class for leaders introduces the integrative approach to business evolution: that both processes and people benefit from removing obstacles to success in your business. When employees are part of the solution, they create high performing environments focused on success.

    This class is designed for you to see if this model is a good fit to helping you achieve the results you want, and to create an inspired workforce.

  • Workplace Organization

    Attendees of this training will have:

    • Ability to assess their space quickly for efficiency opportunities.
    • Tools to declutter and organize to work more effectively
    • Easy systems to stay organized and sustain productivity

    5S Organization is a tool developed by Toyota and implemented in successful organizations globally in every industry. Its power lies in not only immediately improving an area to make it more productive, but in creating sustainable systems that ensure the improvements continue to improve the efficiency of the area.

    This format of this training can be:

    a quick how-to format of 2-3h, allowing attendees to quickly learn key tools to implement,

    or

    a more in-depth full day training, during which organization of  a specified area (office/storeroom/workshop) can be completed as part of the training to ensure deep understanding of the process.

  • Goal Alignment

    Imagine spending one day with your team and delivering the following:

    Preparation

    To ensure success, we will meet to discuss your particular challenges and deliverables from the event.

    Event

    The event will be a 1 day session from 8-4:30 (negotiable depending on individual requirements). It may be held at your business location or offsite.

    After the Event

    For up to 6 months, depending on the scope of the project, we will have 10 min tune up sessions by phone in which we review successes and any course corrections required.

  • Inside Out Performance

    This can be delivered as a  6 x 1h program or 5h session.

    Program Content:

    Each of the sessions will be devoted to the understanding of our own behavior and use of tools to increase self awareness, emotional intelligence and wellbeing. Each attendee will find their relationship with work enriched and deepened.

    This workshop will deliver:

    • an understanding of ‘Commitment Drivers’ and how each of us can access them in ourselves and each other
    • insight and solutions into behaviors that enhance or detract from your desired results.
    • tools to use each day to develop better mental habits

  • Motivation for Success

    Research has proven that what motivates each of us to do what we do has come a long way from carrots and sticks.

    In this creative and interactive presentation you’ll discover:

    • Three essential factors that contribute to your drive

  • Lean Six Sigma-The Basics

    The Basics (8 hr or 2 x 4h class) Participants will leave this interactive workshop with:

    • Tools to immediately apply to their workspace to increase productivity
    • Ability to assess processes/procedures for eight classifications of wasteful activities
    • Basic understanding of Lean concepts, and their application to reduce ‘waste’ and improve flow
    • A 5 step disciplined approach to problem solving and sustainable process improvement

    Workshop Outline:

    • Why Lean? History and application
    • Value Stream Mapping
    • Waste identification
    • Lean tools (5S, Visual Workplace, Standardized Work, Plant Layout, Quality at the Source, Teams, Set up Reduction, Total Productive Maintenance, Mistake Proofing, One Piece Flow, Kanban, Cell Flow, Line Balancing)
    • Systematic Problem Solving with DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control)

    (Training includes 3 rounds of a simulation exercise to enable deeper assimilation of tools learned.)

    Training can be customized to particular industry type.

  • Lean Six Sigma Process Improvement: Facilitated Transformation

    Level 1 (8 hr or 2 x 4h class)

    Participants will leave this interactive workshop with:

    • A 5 step disciplined approach to problem solving and sustainable process improvement, applied to the current business challenge
    • Tools to immediately apply to increase productivity
    • Ability to assess processes/procedures for eight classifications of wasteful activities
    • Basic understanding of Lean concepts, and their application to reduce ‘waste’ and improve flow.Workshop Outline:

    • Process Mapping and Waste identification

    Level 2: Process Focused Event (16 h over 2-4 sessions)

    • Participants will apply the 5 stage process to the selected process issues and over the course of 2 days, identify roots causes, sustainable solutions and an implementation plan to solve the issues identified.Additionally, they will develop :
      • High level understanding across the entire process
      • Counter measures for implementation challenges
      • Metrics to measure success and identify further opportunities for improvement

     

    Level 1 and 2 could be combined to create a 3 day (24h) event if desired.

  • Emotional Intelligence

    This program delivers the strategies for increasing emotional intelligence (EI), which has been shown to be twice as important in contributing to excellence as pure intellect and expertise. The program will help participants and understanding of the 5 key areas of EI:

    1. Self awareness
    2. Self regulation
    3. Motivation
    4. Empathy
    5. Social skills

    Emotional intelligence can be strengthened throughout adult life, and in this program a selection of practices will be used and tools given to build competency across the spectrum of EI. They will gain insight as to how the body, mind and brain interact to give us the experience of strong emotions, and by gaining this understanding, will also be able to apply the tools learned more effectively to manage internal states, regardless of external situations or triggers. Initially gaining a deeper understanding of themselves, the lenses through which they see and act, they will become aware of the assumptions they make about others, and see a clearer picture of the range of values, preferences and assumptions others bring with them to work. This sets the stage for developing better relationships built on trust and mutual respect.

    Through this increased awareness of themselves and others, we will learn models of motivation which allow us to reach goals together. To be effective in teams or as a leader, we must understand the components of high trust relationships, and we will share practices to build trust within individuals and teams. We will practice both mindful and empathic listening, which is essential not only for social adeptness, but to also increase our sensitivity to the needs of others. This emotional literacy makes us more personally resilient and better able to manage conflict and emotionally charged situations with others.

    Through all of these topics, we teach practical skills and habits so that participants can continue the personal journey of increasing EI to become high performing, effective contributors.
